Shannon (Lee) Getty is a Canadian screenwriter and producer living in Berlin, Germany and London, UK. She is the co-creator and co-writer (with Kyla Harris) of the comedy drama series WE MIGHT REGRET THIS, which is in production with Roughcut TV, BBC and Village Roadshow, US. 

Lee has an original drama series in development with ZDF Studios (Germany/UK) as well as a comedy drama in development with Big Talk, UK. Her original idea for a comedy drama, headed by writer Ella Road, is in development with SKY UK. Lee is also co-creating a historical graphic novel based on Storyville in New Orleans, US, in development with Alta Global Media, US.

In past work, Lee co-developed and wrote the award-winning instagram series ICH BIN SOPHIE SCHOLL about a young, female Nazi resistance fighter who was sentenced to death in Germany, at the age of eighteen. 

Lee co-founded Unframed Productions GmbH, a production company in Berlin Germany, where she serves as Managing Director and creative producer. She also co-founded the Women, Trans and Non-Binary Film Network Berlin (8K+ members), a meet-up group which organises local events and screenings. 

Lee has worked and lived in various places around the world, from the Canadian Arctic to Mexico, and is developing original concepts exploring her unique experiences, including a year spent on an arctic island with 200 inhabitants (including polar bears), and working as an undercover journalist in the sex industry. 

A graduate of the Screenwriting & Directing program at the Vancouver Film School, Lee is also an alumni of the Arvon Foundation Screenwriting Residency Program, UK, and has taken diploma courses in Showrunning and Writing TV Formats via the Entertainment Masterclass (EMC).
