    About Tom O’Brien

    Tom is an Acting & Performance Coach & award-winning director who trained at the National Theatre, London, Arts Ed and Living Pictures

    His Production of Fabric won the 2016 Scotsman Fringe First Award and his production of Foiled was the Stage’s Pick of the Fringe. Tom’s work has transferred Off-Broadway and his production of Philip Ridley’s The Fastest Clock In The Universe was filmed for the V & A Video Archive of Performance.

    Tom was recently Associate Director for Matthew Bourne’s production of Oliver! Produced by Cameron Mackintosh and Chichester Festival Theatre, which received 4 Olivier nominations in 2025.

    Tom is currently developing a new musical with BBC Comedy writer Beth Granville, Grammy, Brit and Ivor Novello Award-nominated songwriter Violet Skies (Lilly Allen’s West End Girl) and award-winning songwriter Khiyon Hursey (Spirited, Hamilton).

    Tom is also going to be directing Unseen by Mona Mansour (The Vagrant Trilogy, Public Theatre) in London in 2027.
