HighTide Theatre have announced the first season of work programmed by new Artistic Director Clare Slater, as she sets out a refreshed Artistic Mission for the company.
Building on HighTide’s celebrated legacy as a new writing company, HighTide are reshaping to become wholly writer-centred, with a deeper, more focussed commitment to playwrights.
The new season includes: Ghost Stories by Candlelight is written by Kelly Jones, Shamser Sinha and Nicola Werenowska. With music and songs by Georgia Shackleton, this haunting production is directed by Elayce Ismail. This HighTide production, in association with Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds and Shakespeare’s Globe
Opening Friday 13 October at the Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds before going on tour. It will then transfer for a short run to the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse at Shakespeare’s Globe in late autumn. Details of full tour dates and how to book to be announced shortly.
The other shows announced in the upcoming season include HighTide Rising and Herring Girls: Greater Than We Are Alone.
