LOCKER ROOM TALK to be performed in the Scottish Parliament, 9th November

Theatre

We are thrilled to announce that LOCKER ROOM TALK will be performed in front of an audience of Scottish politicians, in a special performance at the Scottish Parliament on Thursday 9 November.

Created by award-winning playwright and Traverse Associate Artist Gary McNair, and directed by Traverse Artistic Director Orla O’Loughlin, LOCKER ROOM TALK ย brings together hundreds of hours of interview material with real men, interviewed in male-dominated spaces, speaking about women. These words are then performed, verbatim, by a cast of four women, with Blythe Duff – last seen at the Traverse inย Grain in the Blood –ย joining the cast for this one-off performance alongside Maureen Carr, Rachael Spence and Joanna Tope.

Following sell-out performances at the Traverse, Abbey Theatre in Dublin and Latitude Festival earlier this year, this will be LOCKER ROOM TALK’s first performance in front of an amassed collection of political bodies and decision-makers, giving everyone present the opportunity to discuss how we tackle an alarmingly common issue in practical terms.
