Jimmy McGovern’s eagerly anticipated new series BANISHED begins Thursday 5th March 9pm on BBC Two. The epic 7-part series tells the story of the first British convicts transported to Australia, and their struggle to survive in the hostile environment. The series, a co-production between RSJ Films and See-Saw Films, was co-commissioned by BBC Two and BBC Worldwide. Starring Myanna Buring (Ripper Street), Russell Tovey (Being Human) and Julian Rhind-Tutt (The Hour).
