Meadhbh’s first full-length play, Helen and I was produced in 2016 at Druid Theatre Company in Galway, Ireland and at the Dublin Theatre Festival at the Civic Theatre in Tallaght. It was short-listed for the 2016 Stewart Parker Award. She is currently studying and working at Columbia University, New York and is a former graduate of Trinity College, Dublin and the Lir Academy. Meadhbh’s debut radio play, April Showers, won a PJ O’Connor award for new writing in 2014 and was produced by RTÉ Radio One.
Meadhbh’s stage adaptation of Louise O’Neill’s novel Asking For It played to sold out houses and rave reviews in the Everyman Theatre, Cork and the Abbey Theatre, Dublin in 2018. The play won the Audience Choice Prize at the Irish Times Theatre Awards for 2018 and will return to the Everyman Theatre, Cork in September and the Gaiety Theatre, Dublin in October of 2019.
